CUBBYTOWN
CubbyTown is a home for the creativity, hopes and ideas of a community. The installation consists of three wooden cubby houses painted with words and artwork that have been gathered from the local community and arranged into an explosion of colour.
They are a place to explore the creativity and stories of the local community. Playable Streets will run workshops with participants of all ages to develop the interior and exterior designs of the cubbies. We will also collect recordings from participants that play inside the cubbies accompanied by a unique musical score.
The cubbies can be positioned across three separate locations such as main streets and parks or they can be grouped together as a ‘mini town’ to experience as one larger installation.
